We enlisted the help of Nauman Saghir, a local photographer who specializes in photojournalistic-style photography to capture our family in a variety of scenic Dallas/Fort Worth area backdrops.  The results speak for themselves.

Much to my chagrin, I find myself regularly quoting the most common "kid clichés" as I engage in conversation. As such, it would only be appropriate that I make a statement like "they grow up so fast", for it is both relevant and true. It seems like just yesterday I got that scary call from my mother-in-law telling me to head back from Kansas City as Julie was going into labor. While Julie worked tirelessly to deliver Amelia, I struggled to compose myself during that unbelieveably long drive back home (I missed the last flight out of the night).

Fortunately, God showed his graciousness by sparing me countless years of lecturing from Julie for missing our baby's birth. I arrived just in time to witness the miracle of seeing Amelia introduced to her exciting new world.

On October 18th, 2007, Amelia passed the one year mark. And oh, what a year it has been! We now have the pleasure of raising a child with more energy than a thermonuclear reactor, listening to countless hours of baby gibberish and seeing plenty of crawling, climbing, and toddling.

Life is good.
